IMPORTANT - Competition Information

Hey guys,

Hope you’re all doing well as we speed past the final week of our first semester. As you know though, we have two Science (GO SCIENCE!) competitions to look forward to in the very near future! They are: Science Bowl (Feb. 27th), and Science Olympiad (March. 12th).

I’ll break down the email so you can find the information you need for what you’re interested in:

Science Bowl

This week’s your final chance to show off your science bowl prowess, as we are deciding final science bowl teams this weekend.
You should show up to the meeting this Thursday or Friday to maximize your chances of being selected. But either way, you NEED to send us an email confirmation as to your attendance for the event if you want to be on a team, so we can get you sorted!

Don’t want to beat a dead horse here, but if you want to join the fun (and believe me, it’s a LOT of fun), you HAVE TO LET US KNOW! Yeah, so let us know.

Science Olympiad

Alrighty guys, attached is the latest interest sheet with the various conflicts and/or overpopulated events highlighted in RED and PURPLE. We’ll talk more about it in the meeting this week, but see if you can look through your events and get a sense of what you’d be willing to drop. Aim for no more than 4 events per person.

We are gonna focus on settling teams for ASTRONOMY (anticipate a test if you’re interested in this one), GAME ON, ROBOT ARM, BRIDGE BUILDING, ELECTRIC VEHICLE, WIND VEHICLE, and AIR-TRAJECTORY. Any help with these events would be greatly appreciated, and we look to finalize teams within the next week or so… So convince us if you really want an event.

Thanks for your hard work people, I really appreciate it! And as always, refer to the website for any details, email me or Chris with any questions, and keep on learning!

Best Regards,

Daniel Shorr
